Pōhutukawa

Known as being associated with our passed loved ones in some Māori narratives, Pōhutukawa gently reminds us that they are only a breath away.
I had written a long post for this one, about my father when he passed, but it didn't seem appropriate to tell that story and then ask you all to buy some earrings! So instead I will share this thought, that all who pass are only a breath away, a single breath, and that though death is no respecter of persons, there is One Who is.
Pōhutukawa to me is a beacon that says there is more than what I can see with my eyes. Ka hunga mate ki te hunga mate, ka hunga ora ki te hunga ora.
